Op. Dr Ferhat Çelik

He was born in 1979 in Istanbul. Having completed his High School education in Istanbul, Çelik graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Trakya University in 2004. After working as a practitioner between 2004-2006, he received his speciality training from Cerrahpaşa Medical School of Istanbul University, General Surgery Department in 2006.

During his assistantship, he accompanied the obesity surgeries that were performed intensively in the university hospital and completed his graduation thesis with a dissertation on bariatric surgery.

He completed his government service at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital where he received diagnostic and interventional endoscopy training.
He worked at the Yedikule Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital between 2014-2021. He has been working in the field of bariatric surgery together with Ersin Aksu since 2021.

Dr. Ferhat Çelik is married with has two children. He speaks advanced level of English and beginner-level German. He has various publications in medical scientific medical journals and memberships in relevant committees

Hospital

Obesity surgeries should be performed in full-fledged hospitals with intensive care units in line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health. Considering these conditions, we have prefered İzmir Ekol Hospital.

Its capacity is sufficient for obesity surgery for 30 patients every day, room and service facilities are quite appropriate. We have not received any serious complaints regarding the approach of the hospital staff to the patients and their relatives so far.

Generally, we receive good feedback from our patients about the hospital.
